Tulip Mania, The Birthday Song, Strawberry Shortcake
What do tulips, strawberry shortcake and the birthday song have in common? They are all part of this week's episode of the HolidayMoons podcast! Continuing from last weeks tulip overview, Beth moves on to discuss the mania that swept across Europe, and the world, during the 1600s, leading to extraordinarily high prices and then the inevitable bubble burst. And now that strawberries are becoming more common in stores, we eat and discuss strawberry shortcake, the recipe that we use, and the various methods to enjoy eating it. Finally, given that is the birthday season for our family, we look at the legal battle that took place just a few years ago to move the traditional Happy Birthday song into the public domain, making it royalty free for the first time just a few years ago.
We hope that you and your families stay safe and healthy while you self-isolate!

HolidayMoons was created because we love and celebrate holidays and seasons throughout the year, and we want to share our love with you. It includes decorating, going to festivals and events, watching related TV shows and movies, listening to seasonal music, cooking and eating, seasonal shopping, and best of all, enjoying how others, like you, have celebrated too.
